Pitching, Catching, Hitting and Fielding Instructor
Cori is another Topeka native. She attended Seaman High School, her senior year she was named First Team All League and First Team All City. In addition, she also lead her team to four regional championships and four State appearance where she was nominated to the Second All State Team her senior year. After high school she signed to Kansas Wesleyan University as a 3rd baseman and finished her softball career at Washburn University as a Pitcher/3rd baseman. Cori has been coaching high level club softball for 7 years, coaching her teams to a handful of State and National placements. She will be giving instruction in pitching, hitting, fielding and catching.
Cody is from Topeka and went to Hayden High School. After high school, Cody attended Johnson County CC as a pitcher and then continued his baseball career at Missouri State University, where he pitched for the Bears. During his college games, he caught the eye of a recruit from the pro leagues where he was drafted 36th round by the St. Louis Cardinals. He then spent 3 seasons in the Minor Leagues playing at 5 different levels. He’s eager to come back, get involved, and begin giving some pitching instruction to our boys.
Erica is one of our new instructors from Topeka who will be specializing in hitting and fielding. She is a graduate from Seaman High School. Continuing her softball career, Erica signed to go to Barton University where she broke 5 single season records, which includes a .457 batting average. She led the nation in home runs and was named First team all region and conference. After Barton, she went on to play at ESU, and Washburn University where she lead the team in batting average, home runs and total bases. Once her playing days were over, the Washburn University softball coach asked her to return as a student assistant coach for the 2017-2018 season.
Hitting, pitching and fielding Instructor
Stacy is one of our new softball instructors this year at K4. She was born and raised in Marysville, Ks where she attended Marysville High School. She competed at the collegiate level at Highland CC (2004-2006) as an Academic All-American. Stacy coached Softball at Tonganoxie High School (2009-2010) and at Shawnee Heights High School (2011-2012). Stacy has been a softball and pitching instructor for the past 8 years, and will be running any and all types of softball instruction for K4 Sports this year.
Hitting, Catching, and Fielding Instructor
Megan grew up in Illinois and played softball across the country. She played on an international team where she got to travel to Australia to participate in the Australian-American Friendship series in high school. After high school she went onto Benedictine College as a catcher. Megan has been coaching for several years now, leading many teams at different ages to play competitive softball. She is joining K4 Sports for our second year continuing with lesson specializing in hitting, catching, fielding and beginners pitching.
Hitting and Fielding Instructor
Emma is from Meriden and went to Jeff West High School where she made First team all league as DP and Utility player. After high school she continued her academic and softball career at Allen County Community College. She was named NJCAA All academic 1st team. She played for one year before graduated a year early. As an instructor Emma wishes to coach girls in a positive and effective environment. She pushes to teach correct mechanics and technique to prevent injury and maximize athletic potential. Emma will be providing lessons in hitting, base running, fielding and basic pitching mechanics. She will also be running strength and conditioning classes.
Hitting, Pitching, and Fielding Instructor
Justin was raised in Oklahoma, and attended Union High School, in Tulsa. He played college baseball at Hutchison CC, there he made the First Team All Conference- CF in 2013. After Hutch, Justin went on to play at ESU where he was named First Team All American in 2014. He later signed with Florence Freedom of the Frontier League in 2015. Justin is coming back to K4 for his second year to instruct boys, he will be a position players instructor. He is an enthusiastic coach who drives his students to push themselves.
Tristan is another one of our Topeka instructors that graduated from Seaman High School. During high school he was apart of the 2013 Seaman High School State Champion Team. After high school he went to Allen County CC where he pitched in 2015. After Allen, Tristan signed with Division II, Lewis University, in Illinois. Tristan is joining K4 for his first year, we look forward to see what great work he will bring to our facility. Tristan will be one of our baseball pitching instructors.
Speed and Agility Coach
Derek is from Meriden and is going on his second year here at K4 Sports, as our Speed and Agility coach. He was recruited out of high school to further his athletic and academic career at Fort Scott CC for football as a punter in 2008 & 2009. After Fort Scott, Derek was again recruited this time to play for LSU football where he was their punter in 2010 & 2011. Derek is is excited to work with your kids to help improve running form, and to educate them on proper technique to reduce future injury. He will be holding classes and one on one session this year for Speed and Agility.
Pitching, hitting and fielding instructor
Keenan is another Meriden instructor of ours. He is joining us at K4 Sports this year to help more kids learn the game. Keenan is a graduate of Jefferson West High School. Once graduated, he went on to play two years at Independence CC as an outfielder. Since then he has been working here and there with a few kids but is wanting to reach out more to our families of K4. We are thrilled to have Keenan join our team, as we believe he will do great things for us. He will be giving instruction to any position players.
